In connection with the alleged effort to export 90 kilograms of methamphetamine through Pastor Anietie Okon Effiong of the Promise of Zion Church in Oron, Akwa Ibom State, the National Dr#g Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has detained two ladies.
On Sunday, October 23, the anti-drug organization made this disclosure in a statement.
The accused, Hauwawu Bashiru and Basirat Adebisi Yahaya, were detained in Lagos and sent to Uyo to stand charges alongside the cleric, according to the statement.
Remember that on August 6 the preacher was detained in connection with three drums of crystal methamphetamine that were allegedly brought from India.
The 90 kilogram shipment, which was put into a commercial bus with the license plate RSH 691XC in Ojuelegba in Lagos, according to the NDLEA, was discovered during a stop-and-search operation on the Umuahia-Ikot Ekpene expressway.
