The governor of NASARAWA State, Abdullahi Sule, has stated that rather than the opposition, his challenge is how to develop his state and give his people a meaningful life.
This is in spite of the fact that a senior member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has dismissed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), claiming that it is unable to unseat current Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule in 2023.
Speaking at the continuation of his campaign rally in the Doma Local Government Area to seek reelection in 2023, Governor Sule claimed that the state’s opponents were only attempting to take his attention and focus away from the development of the state.
Sule claimed, “I have refused to get sidetracked in my efforts to give the people of the state a better meaningful quality of life. I cannot begin to be confused with the unwholesome bad lifestyle of the opposition who have nothing to offer.”
He made a plea to the residents of Doma and the entire state to uphold the APC and his administration’s determination to transform the state while continuing to foster peace.
Alhaji Reyyanu Iliyasu, a Lafia-based chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, on Wednesday shot down rumors that the PDP could pull off an unexpected victory by regaining the power it lost in 2011.
