Two suspects have been detained by members of the Niger State Police Command in relation to the death of Boniface Chinanwa, 45, who was found dead in Suleja, Suleja LGA, in the state.

The accused of strangling Boniface to death are described as Sunday Paul, 22, and Bali Joshua, 33, as well as one Zingfa Selchak who is still at large.

He claims that on May 17, 2023, Zingfa Selchak invited the suspects and informed them of his plans to steal a tricycle and that he would need their help to carry them out.

Zingfa drove them to a location near Kwamba Road, across from Timber-shed, and instructed them to wait for him there. Shortly after, he turned up with a tricycle rider he had secretly hired to transport some products for him.

With the aid of Bali and Sunday holding the victim’s hands, the aforementioned Zingfa suddenly slipped a cable around the rider’s neck, tightly drawn, and strangled him to death.
