Controversial In response to allegations of fraud, Nigerian journalist Kemi Olunloyo has commented on musician D’banj’s case with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
After it was claimed that the musician used fake beneficiaries to transfer N-Power monies into personal accounts, the musician was asked to be interviewed.

In response, Kemi expressed her viewpoint about D’banj’s situation on her Twitter page. She feels that influencers and celebrities shouldn’t represent the government as brand advocates.

The writer also claimed that Tonto Dikeh, a popular actress in Nollywood, need to be looked into for her work as an advocate for The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and Other Related Matters (NAPTIP).
She asserts that influential people like celebrities can have a significant impact on government organizations without requiring payment.

“Brand Ambassadors are NOT needed at Govt agencies,” she stated. Do it if you wish to volunteer or advocate. Not all things are financial. In her capacity as @naptipnigeria’s brand ambassador, Tonto Dikeh needs to be looked into. World Anticorruption Day is tomorrow. Financial fraud is widespread.
