Dr. Mahmuda Isah has been sworn in as Resident Electoral Commissioner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a second and final term.

Isah took the oath of office during the commission’s weekly meeting on Tuesday in Abuja, which was also attended by the commission secretary, national commissioners, and INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

Prof. Yakubu advised him to always uphold the law and show loyalty to the Nigerian people.

Before his first tenure ended in January 2023, Isah was first appointed in January 2018 and served in the states of Jigawa and Kaduna.

He was stationed at the Federal Capital Region.

He is a petroleum law PhD.
