Tunji Wusu –
The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has placed Nollywood star Jerry Williams on extended administrative leave due to his use of illegal substances.
Emeka Rollas, the national president of AGN, made this announcement in a statement that was made public on June 29.
“The Guild has been monitoring his involvement in illegal substances since December last year, until it got out of hand and as it is now, he cannot be allowed to associate with other actors on set due to danger,” the statement reads.
He should have been put on probation earlier. However, since he has been putting off minor treatments, we decided to let him.
But as things are, Jerry poses a risk to both himself and any potential co-stars he might be working with.
As a result, we’ve decided to suspend him indefinitely until he receives a clean bill of health from a doctor or other expert in drug misuse.
