With only 34 days left in his term as governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the governor of Kaduna State, swore in 15 new judges on Tuesday to serve in the State’s various courts.
Seven State High Court Judges, five (Khadis) Sharia Court of Appeal Judges, and three (Customary Court of Appeal Judges) were among those sworn in.
Bashir Shitu Yusuf, Yakubu Badamasi, Abdullahi Isyaka, Joyce Asabe Aka’ahs, Nana Fatima Muhammad, Ambi John Aku, and Buhari Mohammed Balarabe are the High Court Judges.
Judges Aminu Ahmad Jumare, Nuhu Mahmud, Murtala Nasir, Abdulrahman Ibrahim, and Suraj Mahadi Mohammad were sworn in as members of the Sharia Court of Appeal.
Judges on the Customary Court of Appeal include Yusuf Yakubu, Dorcas Thabita Antung, and Dorothy Sim Inwulale.
