Babatunji Wusu –
On September 6, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal will rule on the three petitions contesting Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
On Monday, September 4, Umar Mohammed Bangari, the Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal, revealed this in a statement to reporters.
Everything has been put in order, according to Bangari, whose court is accommodating the Tribunal, to enable a smooth delivering of the ruling in the three cases.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu was declared the victor of the 2023 presidential election after petitions from the Labour Party (LP), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) were filed with the tribunal.
Election tribunals in 25 states are also anticipated to rule on petitions for the governorship, National Assembly, and state assemblies.
