In an enthralling encounter with multiple chances for both sides, Juventus won 1-0 at Cremonese on Wednesday thanks to a stoppage-time free kick from Arkadiusz Milik.

One minute into stoppage time, Juventus received a free kick, which Milik sent over the wall and into the bottom-right corner as Cremonese keeper Marco Carnesecchi got a touch to the ball but couldn’t stop it from going in.

The victory was Juventus’ sixth in a row without conceding a goal, putting them third in the table with 34 points, while Cremonese sit second bottom and have yet to win a league game this season.

Cremonese appeared to be in command in the first half, denying Juventus chances inside the box and capitalizing on defensive errors.

After two minutes, David Okereke came into the box on a counter-attack, but his effort lacked strength and direction. After 15 minutes, Cremonese’s Emanuele Valeri headed the ball over Juventus keeper Wojciech Szczesny and into the net, but the offside flag was raised. After 20 minutes, Matias Soule came close to putting Juventus ahead, but goalie Carnesecchi saved his curling effort from outside the box.

Three minutes later, Soule broke free outside the penalty area and attempted to direct the ball into the bottom-right corner, but Carnesecchi denied him.

The game heated up as both teams sought a winner, with Cremonese hitting the post after 69 minutes on Cyriel Dessers’ strong attempt from within the box.
