In the 79th minute of France’s semifinal game against Morocco, Randal Kolo Muani scored to extend his team’s lead and put France on track to clinch a position in the championship game.

In his third appearance, Kolo Muani scored his first goal for the senior team.

The 24-year-old, who had replaced Ousmane Dembele, scored 44 seconds after coming on. This was the third-fastest goal by a substitute in World Cup history, trailing only Ebbe Sand in 1998 and Richard Morales in 2002 (16 seconds) (26 seconds).

Kolo Muani, a recent graduate of the Nantes development program, is a player for Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga of Germany. He has 14 club appearances and five goals to his name. His goal against Sporting Lisbon in November, which assisted the team in securing its first Champions League knockout qualification, is one of his most illustrious ones.

The injured Christopher Nkunku was replaced by the forward, who was roped. He has additionally represented France’s Under-21 team.
