-Harmony Boys return to training after President Federation Cup triumph
-Sanni leads team into CAF Confederation Cup build-up
Kwara United have resumed preparations for the 2025–26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, signaling a return to action after their recent triumph in the 2025 President Federation Cup.
The Ilorin-based club, fondly called the Harmony Boys, began training on Monday at the Rashidi Yekini Mainbowl, George Innih Stadium, under the watchful eyes of technical adviser Tunde Sanni. The session marked the end of a short break granted after their Federation Cup success.
As part of their pre-season program, Kwara United will test their form in a warm-up match against non-league side Blimz FC on Tuesday (today) in Ilorin. The friendly is expected to help the coaching crew assess player fitness and squad depth ahead of a busy football calendar.
Tunde Sanni’s team is also preparing for their campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup next season, having secured a continental ticket through their Federation Cup victory.
The new NPFL season is scheduled to kick off on Friday, August 22, with high expectations resting on Kwara United to build on their recent momentum.
