Mercy Johnson Slams Ned Nwoko Over Arrest of Regina Daniels’ Brother, Questions Nigeria’s Justice System

Nollywood star Mercy Johnson has condemned the alleged arrest and detention of Sammy West, the elder brother of actress Regina Daniels, by her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

Reports indicate that West was picked up in Lagos on Sunday and later flown to Abuja, allegedly in connection with the senator’s ongoing marital crisis with Regina Daniels.

The arrest reportedly came one week after Regina Daniels publicly accused Nwoko of domestic violence and filed for divorce, sparking heated reactions across social media.

Expressing outrage over the development, Mercy Johnson—who is regarded as Regina’s godmother—took to her social media page to question the country’s justice system.

She wrote:

“The worst form of injustice is pretended justice.
A child was arrested; no one can or has been allowed to see him for two days. He was flown from Lagos to Abuja and is allegedly being taken to court from the airport. How did we get here? Nigeria… Wow.”

Mercy’s reaction has ignited fresh public debate about abuse of power and fairness in law enforcement, as fans continue to demand clarity on the incident and the whereabouts of Sammy West.
