The Senate Minority Leader, Patrick Abba Moro, has said the internal crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is gradually subsiding, noting that members who resisted reconciliation have exited the party.

Moro made the remarks during the PDP national convention held in Abuja, where party leaders convened to deliberate on pressing issues affecting the opposition platform.

According to him, individuals who were unwilling to embrace peace within the party had already negotiated their departure.

“Those who insisted that there would be no peace in the PDP have all negotiated their way out of the party. We now have only two governors,” he stated.

The senator also commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for maintaining his loyalty to the party despite the prolonged internal disputes.

“Wike has remained steadfast in the PDP. He must be commended,” Moro added.

His comments come at a time when PDP stakeholders are intensifying efforts to stabilise the party and reposition it ahead of upcoming political engagements.
