Napoli Complete Permanent Move for Hojlund

By Eppe Franklyne – Napoli have secured the permanent signing of Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United in a deal worth 50 million euros ($58.08 million), following an impressive loan spell with the Italian club.

The Denmark striker enjoyed a productive 2025-26 campaign in Italy, scoring 16 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions. His contributions played a key role in Napoli’s successful season, which saw the club lift the Supercoppa Italiana and finish as runners-up in Serie A.

The move marks a permanent return to Italian football for Rasmus Hojlund, who first joined Manchester United from Atalanta in 2023. During his time at Old Trafford, the striker made 95 appearances and found the net 26 times in all competitions.

Hojlund also helped United achieve domestic success, featuring in the squad that won the FA Cup in May 2024. He came off the bench in the final at Wembley as the Red Devils defeated Manchester City to claim the trophy.

The talented forward returned to Italy at the beginning of the 2025-26 season on a year-long loan agreement. His performances quickly convinced Napoli to make the transfer permanent, with the club now committing to the 23-year-old on a long-term basis.

The completion of the Rasmus Hojlund transfer brings an end to his spell with Manchester United and gives Napoli a proven attacking option as they prepare for another demanding season in domestic and European competitions.
