The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has blacklisted renowned Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, following a reported breach of airport security at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

The NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Michael Achimugu, disclosed this during a press conference in Abuja, stating that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

The controversy erupted on Tuesday when the artiste allegedly boarded Flight VK201 from Abuja to Lagos carrying a gold flask with an unknown substance. According to reports, when ground staff attempted to inspect the flask, K1 De Ultimate forcefully resisted, creating a scene that disrupted normal boarding procedures.

Sources revealed that staff members witnessed the singer drinking from the flask and suspected it contained alcohol— a prohibited substance on Nigerian aircraft. Their decision to deny him boarding triggered an altercation that escalated into a security breach.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) had earlier on Wednesday announced a probe into what it described as the musician’s unruly behaviour, which momentarily disrupted flight operations.

NCAA officials affirmed that the musician would remain blacklisted pending the outcome of the investigation and further disciplinary actions.
