The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has warned successful candidates for the 78 Regular Combatant Course (78RC) to report on time or risk losing their admission places.
The Academy said admitted candidates must report to the NDA Ribadu Campus (Old Site), Kaduna, on Saturday, September 12, 2026. However, anyone who fails to report by Monday, September 14, 2026, will forfeit the admission.
The NDA announced this in a statement signed by its Registrar, Brigadier General OA Ogunleye, and shared on the Academy’s 𝕏 handle on Wednesday morning.
The notice followed the release of successful and reserve candidates selected after the Armed Forces Selection Board exercise for the 78 Regular Course, held between July 4 and August 19, 2026.
Only candidates offered admission should report for the exercise. They will be received at the Drill Shed at the NDA Old Site, Ribadu Cantonment, Kaduna. Reserve candidates may receive invitations later if vacancies become available. The Academy said it would contact them through the email addresses and telephone numbers used during registration.
Successful candidates must bring the original copies of their credentials, including their First School Leaving Certificate, Primary School Testimonial, WAEC/NECO results, Senior Secondary School Testimonial, Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age and Letter of State of Origin.
They must also present the original, duly endorsed Parent/Guardian Consent Form. Photocopies will not be accepted. “Any candidate who fails to present originals of the stated documents will not be accepted into the Academy,” the notice stated.
Candidates must also arrive with specified clothing, footwear, sports equipment, bedding and personal items. Female candidates have additional requirements, including black low-heel cover shoes, dark lounge skirts, short tights and trouser suits.
The NDA 78RC admission process also requires candidates to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB portal, accept admission through JAMB CAPS, and make any required change of academic department.
The Academy said successful candidates will not receive visitors or leave the Academy during their first three months of training.
