The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, has stationed ambulances and emergency response vehicles in Federation flashpoints to ensure rapid reaction in the event of an emergency.

NEMA Director-General Mustapha Habib Ahmed revealed this when he launched ‘Operation Eagle Eye,’ an annual event he said was designed to ensure motorist safety over the Yuletide season.

This came as he urged all NEMA Zonal Territorial and Operational offices to support the efforts of the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC, which he described as the lead Agency in the exercise.

Ahmed, who was represented by Bashir Idris Garga, Deputy Director Operations, encouraged NEMA and stakeholders to prioritize good casualty handling and professionalism while preserving responder safety and avoiding undue rivalry with other stakeholders.
