Legislators from the House of Representatives have started the Citizens’ Town Hall on the 2024 budget and appropriation in Abuja.

Many prominent people attended the event, which was arranged by the House Committee on Appropriations and the Office of the Speaker of Representatives’ Programs Coordinating Unit.

Along with other notable figures, those in attendance were former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretary Iyiola Omisore, Chairman of the Appropriations Committee Kabir Abubakar, and his deputy, Iduma Enwo.

In his introductory remarks, Kabir stated that the assembly’s goal was to encourage public participation in the allocation process.

He declared, “The integrity of the budgeting process is being promoted by this Town Hall, which is important.”
