Nigeria has announced a 27-man squad for the Unity Cup 2026, which will take place in the United Kingdom between May 26 and 30. The tournament will feature countries with large diaspora communities in Britain, with all matches scheduled to hold at The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic.
Nigeria will begin its campaign against Zimbabwe on May 26. The winner of that fixture will advance to face either Jamaica or India in the final on May 30.
The Unity Cup 2026 falls outside the FIFA international calendar, prompting Nigeria to select a largely second-string squad as preparations continue for upcoming matches against Poland and Portugal during the next international window.
Experienced midfielder Wilfred Ndidi remains the biggest name in the squad and is expected to captain the side. The former Leicester City player now plays for Beşiktaş and brings valuable leadership to the team.
