The French Open 2026 main draw ceremony for the singles events will take place in Paris on Thursday, May 21, at 2 p.m. local time. Tennis fans across the world are already preparing for another exciting edition of the Grand Slam tournament at Roland Garros.

This year’s French Open 2026 will run from May 24 until June 7. Fans can watch the draw ceremony live through the tournament’s official YouTube channel. In Nigeria, coverage of the competition will be available on DStv Tennis.

The tournament organisers also confirmed the ranking points available across all categories. Singles champions in both the men’s and women’s competitions will receive 2,000 points, while runners-up will earn 1,300 points.

Prize money for the French Open 2026 has increased by 9.5 per cent, pushing the total prize fund to 61.7 million euros. Both the men’s and women’s singles champions will collect 2.8 million euros each.

Defending men’s singles champion Carlos Alcaraz will not defend his title after withdrawing with a wrist injury. In the women’s singles event, Coco Gauff returns as the reigning champion.

Other defending title holders include Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in men’s doubles, while the women’s doubles crown belongs to Jasmine Paolini and Sara Errani.

The French Open 2026 is expected to attract huge global attention despite Alcaraz’s absence, with many top stars now hoping to seize the opportunity in Paris.
