Tunji Wusu –
According to Sahara Reporters, the Nigerian Army has announced an increase in the Ration Cash Allowance for its members.
Instead of “central feeding,” the RCA manages the food of Nigerian military men. The army stated in the signal, which SaharaReporters received exclusively, that the action was in response to the Nigerian government’s recent elimination of the fuel subsidy, which had led to an increase in the cost of products and services throughout the nation.
E.E. Emekah, a Major General, signed the signal on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff and it was dated July 28.
“Sequel to the recent removal of fuel subsidy by the Federal Government of Nigeria, with its attendant rise in the prices of goods and services across the country, the COAS has graciously approved upward review of Ration Cash Allowance (RCA) for troops from N1,000 to N1,200 with effect from August 2023,” it stated.
