Concerned Nigerians stormed the European Union office in Abuja to protest its report on the February 25, 2023 presidential election under the banner

of the Coalition of Civil Society Organization and Political Parties for Good Governance (CCSOPPGG).

The demonstrators marched from the Central Area to the European Union’s offices in the Federal Capital Territory while carrying many placards with various slogans. The EU had earlier criticized the 2023 general elections in a report, citing violence, tampering with voting machines, and vote buying as some of the reasons for its censure.

At the EU headquarters, where the peaceful march came to an end, the group’s leaders spoke to EU officials. The group left when an EU representative assured them that they would inform the Union of the protesters’ message.
