National Youth Service Corps has confirmed that the NYSC 2026 Batch B Stream I Orientation Course will begin on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, across all orientation camps nationwide.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, said the exercise would start with the reception and registration of prospective corps members in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to the scheme, registration for the NYSC 2026 Batch B programme will close at midnight on Friday, June 12. The swearing-in ceremony for all mobilised corps members is also scheduled to take place on the same day.

The orientation programme will officially end on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, after weeks of camp activities designed to prepare graduates for national service.

The NYSC also advised all prospective corps members to prioritise safety while travelling to their assigned orientation camps. The organisation repeated its warning against night travel and urged participants to suspend their journeys once it is 6pm.

The statement encouraged corps members travelling late to spend the night at approved safe locations, including corps lodges, military formations, police stations, security outposts or the palace of a traditional ruler before continuing their trips the following morning.

Officials explained that the guidance forms part of ongoing efforts to improve the safety and welfare of participants during the mobilisation process.

The NYSC 2026 Batch B orientation remains one of the most important stages of the national service programme, bringing together graduates from different parts of Nigeria for training and integration activities.

Do you think stronger travel safety measures are needed for corps members during mobilisation periods?
