The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has established its area office in Osun State to serve the South-West region.
Mr Adewale Adegoke, the NYSC Coordinator in the state disclosed this while addressing newsmen on Wednesday in Osogbo.
According to Adegoke, the area office would be in charge of the six states in the South-West region and would be saddled with the function of monitoring the mobilization of corps members.

Adegoke therefore warned corps members against absconding from the one year mandatory service, that the action was against Section 3 (1b) of NYSC Act.
He added that any corps member found wanting for three months would be remobilized for the scheme.

He added that the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Department of NYSC is to equipped corp members in order to be self employed.
