According to Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, a former governor of Delta State, God will use Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, a PDP contender for governor, to make a bold statement in the state.

Uduaghan urged Deltans to elect Oborevwori in 2023 when he paid a visit to Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (ret. ), Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council and Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, Orhue I, in Orerokpe, Okpe local government area, on Friday.

“If you follow the legal battle up to the Supreme Court, which eventually settled the question for us,” Uduaghan stated in praise of the monarch for allowing one of his people, Oborevwori, to become a PDP governorship candidate.

“While everyone was preoccupied looking for the most qualified and suitable guy to rule Israel, God was preparing a simple shepherd kid to do so.

“David would have been dismissed as the person with the least qualifications if it were the world of today. Because all power belongs to God, the narrative teaches us that only God can grant it.

These are encouraging signs that God intends to use the governorship of Sheriff to make a powerful message in Delta state. Sheriff should come after Okowa.

When Uduaghan appointed Orodje of Okpe as second vice chairman to Ogiame Atuwatse II, the Olu of Warri (ascended), during his tenure as governor, Orodje of Okpe said that Uduaghan had prepared him for his leadership of the Delta State Traditional Rulers’ Council. Orodje of Okpe thanked Uduaghan for visiting him.

He reminded Uduaghan that he had been the one to pass the statute establishing the 5% allocation (accruable to traditional rulers), ensuring money for the traditional council up to this point.

The monarch claimed that the former governor had granted him the right to propose deserving Okpe sons for his administration, including Prof. Hope Eghagha.

Orhue I praised Dr. Uduaghan for being an example of a true leader with a big heart and prayed that God would pay him back for all the good he did and the sacrifices he made on behalf of Delta state.
