Ogun State has secured second place across the country in the new State Performance Index. Released by Phillips Consulting, the independent report highlights how the progressive governance of Governor Dapo Abiodun has directly improved the lives of local citizens.

The extensive survey placed Ogun State right behind Lagos State in a nationwide assessment. This detailed scorecard looked closely at local leadership, financial management, building projects, and citizen health. Kaduna State, Adamawa State, and Niger State filled the rest of the top five slots.

To create the annual list, researchers combine various data streams. The system uses 70 per cent hard public facts and 30 per cent feedback from everyday people. These core indicators measure schools, hospital care, and job growth. Crucially, the feedback section allows residents to share their honest views on local public services.

According to the analysis, Ogun State excelled because of its booming factories and massive road projects. Its ideal position right next to Lagos has helped it become a premier production center. The region continues to win huge investments in farming, housing, and industrial parks. These economic successes have greatly increased its reputation.

Phillips Consulting explained that the State Performance Index serves as an essential tool for future business investors and international development partners. They noted that the latest edition focuses heavily on facts, using certified records alongside public opinion to give an accurate picture. Ultimately, this great news proves that Ogun State is a prime spot for new business and a fantastic example of a performing state in modern Nigeria.
