Egbedun emphasized the lawmakers’ strong grassroots connection and affirmed their commitment to upholding the mandate of the people with dignity and loyalty.

The lawmakers reinforced their support for Governor Adeleke’s 2026 re-election campaign, calling on the people of Osun to disregard unfounded rumors and recognize the unity and focus within the PDP.
At a press conference in Osogbo, Speaker Wale Egbedun addressed circulating rumors suggesting possible defections among PDP lawmakers to the APC. Speaking on behalf of all 25 PDP members, he categorically denied any such plans, reassuring the public that the lawmakers remain united and steadfast in their allegiance to Governor Adeleke and the PDP leadership, headed by Chairman Sunday Bisi.
Egbedun highlighted the Assembly’s grassroots roots and underlined their dedication to serving the people’s interests with integrity and accountability. He expressed confidence in the party’s strength and cohesion in Osun State and affirmed their collective resolve to secure a second term for Governor Adeleke in the 2026 elections.
Concluding his address, the Speaker urged the people of Osun to ignore distracting gossip, affirming that what is visible is a united, focused, and committed PDP working tirelessly to deliver on its promises and build on the progress made under Governor Adeleke’s administration.
