Pastor William Kumuyi, General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, DCLM, has emphasized the importance of believers confessing their sins, repenting, and praying.
Pastor Kumuyi, who stated that there is no shortcut to salvation because confession of sins is still a necessary step for a believer to be saved, emphasized the importance of repentance where repentance was required.
He stated this while speaking on the topic of “God’s purified, empowered people equipped for exploits” at the recently concluded Global Crusade/Retreat, which was broadcast live from Ekiti State across the states and globally.
The man of God, who drew his message from Daniel 9:3-4, pointed out that Daniel confessed Israel’s sins with a broken heart.
“Daniel did not sit back prayerless and expect things to fall into place,” he says. He resolved to seek the face of God, as He promised in His word.
“All who seek God faithfully and wholeheartedly can be assured that they will find Him. He promised to deliver them from captivity and to gather them from all the nations to which He had driven them.
“Repentance is required where repentance is required. You set your face to seek the Lord, and He appears to you.
“With a broken heart, Daniel confessed the sins of the nation of Israel. Look at what God requires of you as you consider His promises. Don’t just sit back and accept fate. “Pray and confess.”
Pastor Kumuyi advised that as people consider God’s promises, they should also consider what God expects of them, adding that any believer who wants to succeed in life cannot remain prayerless and expect things to fall into place.
He explained that all who seek God faithfully and wholeheartedly will have their prayers answered, and that as people look forward to God’s promises, they should also consider what God expects of them.
