The Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Nigeria Police Force during a courtesy visit to the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
The committee commended the IGP’s leadership style and pledged continued collaboration to strengthen community policing and intelligence gathering nationwide.
Speaking during the visit, the PCRC Chairman stated that the committee remains dedicated to fostering a stronger relationship between the police and the public, noting that over 70 officers have been recognized for outstanding service as part of efforts to encourage professionalism and excellence within the Force.
He further disclosed plans to deepen grassroots engagement, particularly in schools, as part of measures to curb rising social vices and promote civic responsibility among young people.
In his response, IGP Disu expressed appreciation for the committee’s sustained support, emphasizing that effective policing requires active cooperation from the public. He reiterated the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to professionalism, accountability, and improved service delivery.
