Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, stated that the PDP is ready to creating an alliance with the Labour Party’s (LP) Peter Obi.
Atiku made this announcement during a news conference on Thursday night.
In the meantime, the PDP presidential candidate has accused INEC of conducting the elections in a disgraceful manner, crushing the hopes and aspirations of Nigerians.
“After consulting with leaders of our party who are present here with me and Nigerians from various walks of life, I have come to the conclusion that the procedures and results of the presidential and national elections on Saturday were grossly flawed by every single piece of evidence and as such, must be challenged by all of us,” he said.
The former vice president argued that INEC “failed horribly,” despite the fact that the presidential election offered Nigeria and Nigerians a chance for a reset.
Atiku claimed that both domestic and foreign observers confirmed the electoral umpire’s error.
The PDP candidate questioned the commission’s haste in announcing the election’s outcome and dubbed it “a rape of democracy.”
He stated that this was not the legacy that the Muhammad Buhari-led dictatorship sought to leave for Nigerians, and he added that Buhari still had time to change his mind.
Atiku urged the young people to behave properly, claiming that the election was not about him but rather about the future of Nigerian youth.
He claimed that the party’s attorneys had begun researching pertinent material in order to provide guidance.
In a same vein, the PDP claimed that Atiku had won the election in a statement issued by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, its national publicity secretary.
He said, “Our party and its presidential candidate have started an action for legal redress to retrieve our victory in the 2023 presidential election.
