A member of the six-man armed robbery group that stole a car with a diplomatic registration number has reportedly been detained by the police.
On Thursday, the suspect, Emmanuel Okoi, 29, was taken into custody inside a drugstore in the Maitama District of the FCT.
DSP Josephine Adeh, a spokesman for the FCT Command, stated in a statement that the car was found seven hours after the crime was committed.
The suspect, 29-year-old Emmanuel Okoi, was named. The PPRO grieved that one individual who had stepped in to stop the attack was shot and killed by the criminals.
Adeh stated, “On Thursday, October 13, at around 15:30hrs, the FCT Police Command recovered the Maitama gun-point stolen vehicle and apprehended one suspect following an all-night pursuit and an active manhunt of Armed hoodlums.
