The police have neither debunked nor confirm a viral rumour about a mass abduction of three bus-load of passengers travelling along Abuja-Lagos expressway.

The three bus-load of passengers were rumouredly abducted in Okene at gunpoint, and family members of every one of the more than 100 victims asked to pay a ransom of N10 million, which was later reduced to N5 million.

Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, did not take his call of our reporter when The Premier News wanted to verify the authenticity of the story with him.

He also has not replied a text message to that effect. The story of the kidnapping, which The Premier News has yet to confirm, allegedly happened on July 13 when three luxurious buses allegedly belonging to Ekeson, God is Good and one other, were seized by kidnappers in Okene.

The kidnappers were said to have demanded for a ransom payment of N10 million per passenger, which was later negotiated to N5 million.

The Premier News tried to get Ekeson and God is Good officials at their loading office in Oyingbo, Lagos State to either confirm or disprove the story, but the chaotic scene at the station made it impossible for our reporter to do his job.
