Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, is a Nigerian singer who was released from the Lagos State Police Command.

Authorities in Lagos detained Portable on Tuesday after he allegedly failed to pay for his opulent G-Wagon vehicle.

Online videos captured the moment when police tried to apprehend Portable and he attempted to get away by jumping a barrier.

He was pursued by the police, who eventually caught up to him and pinned him.

Four police officers carried Portable inside a car after holding him down, although Portable was spotted resisting arrest.

The ‘Zazzu’ crooner had purchased a Mercedes Benz GLE 350 from a car dealer, Ogunsanwo Temitope (Temmy Autos) but failed to complete the payment.

It was gathered that Portable had paid only N13 million out of the N27 million cost of the automobile said to have refused to pay the N14 million balance.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benajmin Hundeyin, verified the singer’s release in an interview with Vanguard on Wednesday night.

The spokesperson said, “I have no idea about it, but what I can say is that he has been granted bail,” in response to the question of whether Portable had resolved the problems.
