Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma called the attack on INEC’s offices on Monday in Owerri “politically orchestrated.”
When the Governor went to the Imo State Police Command headquarters in Owerri on Monday to examine the bodies of the three hoodlums slain in the attack on the INEC office, he told reporters this.
He promised to give the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, sufficient protection for the distribution of the permanent voter’s cards, PVC, that was scheduled to take place in the state.
If you compare what is happening in Imo state to what I have consistently claimed is politically engineered in the past, you can see why INEC is the target, he said.
The Governor emphasized that security organizations are ready.
There will be elections in Nigeria, he declared, and INEC is ready. I was informed that the majority of those who traveled on this trip are lying critically ill, some have been neutralized, and others have fled after being shot.
The Governor stated that the security of people and property in the state is a priority for the police as well as their sister agencies.
“God willing, I’m confident we’ll have a very wonderful setting for Christmas,” he remarked. Because God’s will must be done in whatever we accomplish on this planet.

This week is holy, he declared. the time when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was born. Peace is brought to Imo through the blessings and anointing.
Uzodimma asked the populace to get out and pick up their PVC, telling them that security organizations from the ward and local government levels to the state level will be there.
He reminds the populace that the government, along with the security agencies, will do its best to collect voter registration cards, which is a crucial task.
