Before choosing a candidate in the general election of 2023, Nigerian women and citizens should take into account the following factors, according to the female wing of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit.

According to a statement released on Wednesday by MSSNLagos’ Sisters Circle’s Public Relations Officer, Mu’Sodiq Adekunle, they made this declaration during the 2022 Sisters’ Engligtenment Program, which was held in Lagos and with the subject “Blooming Mettle.”

Muslim women were urged to explore career prospects in tech and serve as positive role models throughout the session.

For them, voting for a candidate would mostly depend on the candidate’s track record, capacity to protect the constitution and obey court rulings, leadership skills, potential to develop Nigeria, and other factors.

Azeezah Gidigbi, the MSSN Lagos Naibatul Amirah (Deputy Female Head), asked Muslim women to actively participate in the upcoming election.

Basheeroh Majekodunmi, who represented MSSNLagos Amirah, gave the welcome address, and Gidigbih remarked, “I want to use this platform to commence talks on our participation in the upcoming general elections. Not everyone has the ability to actively engage in politics, but we must elect leaders who will make wise choices to improve the lives of youths, foster an environment that allows businesses to flourish, and most importantly, guarantee the security of Muslim students’ rights in secondary schools and at all levels.
