Tunji Wusu –
The proposed 3-day kis-thon activity has received a warning from the Ekiti State Government that violators face a 3-year prison sentence.
A prohibition notice signed by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Dayo Apata (SAN), on Thursday, July, according to a statement from the state government, prohibits any individual or corporate entity from approving the execution of the planned program in the state.
The statement warned that the planned Kis-A-Thon program is against Sections 148 and 150 of the Criminal Law (2021), which ban indecent acts and practices in the State and impose a felony penalty of up to three years in prison on violators.
Early this week, reports surfaced regarding a proposed 3-day program in Ekiti State called KISS-A-THON, which was intended to be a 3-day kissing marathon event with the goal of breaking the Guinness World Record.
