Marcus Rashford scored a spectacular goal against Burnley in Manchester United’s first encounter since returning from the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

England winger Rashford made a fantastic solo run down the right flank from his own half to approach the Burnley box and beat goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell with a right-footed effort in the second half of the Carabao Cup Round of 16 tie.

The 25-year-strike old’s in the 57th minute made it 2-0 for Erik ten Hag’s team, after Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen scored the first goal half an hour earlier.

Rashford scored three goals for England during the World Cup, which ended in a 1-2 loss to eventual runner-up France in the semifinals.

His three goals included an incredible free-kick against Wales in the team’s last group encounter. It was also the tournament’s first goal from a free kick.

Rashford has nine goals in 20 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions this season.
