Senator Remi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, paid a condolence visit to Governor Babagana Umar Zulum in Borno State on Wednesday, November 15.
Bola Tinubu, the wife of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, was welcomed in Maiduguri, the state capital, as she visited with the incumbent governor to express her condolences to him and his family following the death of his mother-in-law, Fatsuma Kyari, last week.
Dr Falmata Babagana Zulum, the First Lady of Borno State, was the deceased’s mother.
Mrs Tinubu arrived in the state capital yesterday with the wives of the Vice President, Hajiya Nana Kashim Shettima, the Senate President, Ekaette Akpabio, the APC National Chairman, Professor Hafsat Ganduje, and the Agriculture Minister, Hajjiya Bilkis Kyari.
During their meeting, the Nigerian First Lady advised the bereaved family to find comfort in God’s will.
Governor Zulum responded by thanking the First Lady for her visit to commiserate with the family. Mrs Tinubu had already paid a condolence visit to the governor’s wife at her family home in Maiduguri.
Prayers were said for the repose of the departed’s soul.
