Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, the former chairman of the Sokoto State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has passed away. Milgoma, who led the party from 2015 to 2018, died in a hospital in Abuja after a long illness.

The news of his passing was confirmed by Malam Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, the Sokoto State PDP Publicity Secretary, who expressed profound sadness over Milgoma’s death. Sanyinnawal praised Milgoma as a distinguished and respected leader whose contributions were vital to the growth of Sokoto State and Nigeria as a whole.

In the statement, Sanyinnawal acknowledged Milgoma’s significant impact during his tenure, noting that his leadership was crucial in securing the PDP’s victory in the 2019 general elections in Sokoto State.

The statement read in part: “The late Ibrahim Milgoma was a distinguished gentleman and respected leader who contributed immensely to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria in general. Sokoto PDP has indeed lost a father and a respected leader who guided the party with dedication and commitment, leading to our success in the 2019 general election.”

The Sokoto State PDP chapter extends its prayers for Milgoma, asking Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus, and grant his family and the entire state the strength to cope with this significant loss.
