Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has opened the Ekiti State Liaison Office and Governor’s Lodge at GRA Ikeja.
Sanwo-Olu commissioned the faculties in the company of his Ekiti counterpart, Kayode Fayemi.
The Lagos helmsman said being the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, the state is strategically important to South-West aspirations.
Sanwo-Olu promised that the government will strengthen partnerships and work with other states for regional progress.
The governor further assured that his administration will always be open to collaborations for the spread of socio-economic prosperity.
He said the location of the Ekiti State’s liaison office offers a suitable ambience to conduct the business of the state and host investors.
“It is sited within the proximity of that of Ogun, Osun, Ondo, and Oyo states, and the proposed secretariat of the Southern Governors’ Forum.
“It is a honour and privilege to have my brother Governors see the strength Lagos can bring to bear for our shared prosperity.
“When we all work together, with the understanding that we all have different skills and strengths, we can organically develop unique strength and address our weaknesses.”
Sanwo-Olu added that close ties would help the South-West and Nigeria remain on the path of growth, development and sustainability.
