Over the past few weeks, Mr. Ibu has had intermittent illness.

Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, the former president of the Senate, has paid for all of the sick bills of well-known actor John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu.

Saraki accomplished this through the “Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation,” his organization.

Following an unidentified illness, Mr. Ibu had on Wednesday appealed to Nigerians for assistance, stating that he does not want his legs amputated.

In response to his plea, the Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation saved him on Friday by paying for all of his medical expenses.

“The Abubakar Bukola Saraki Foundation is honored to have extended support to Mr. John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, a renowned comedic icon who has graced our screens and brought joy and laughter to countless homes over the past four decades,” the foundation said in a statement posted on the now-defunct Twitter platform X.

We felt a strong feeling of duty to help in any way we could after learning about his recent health issues and the costs related to his medical care. We instantly covered all of his Wednesday’s medical costs.

“We invite everyone who is able to step up and help in any way they can, whether it be by prayers, financial donations, or moral support.”We hope he heals fully and quickly.

Recall that Davido, P-Square, and Tunde Ednut, prominent figures in Nigerian music, had pledged to cover Mr. Ibu’s medical costs.

People from Nigeria had started to donate money to help the ailing actor from all around the world.
