SHINA PELLER, AN EX-OYO LEGISLATOR, PRESENTS AN AUTOMOBILE TO THE NEW ASEYIN.

The Ayedero of Yorubaland, Honourable Shina Peller, delivered a Mercedes Benz automobile key to His Royal Majesty, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III, the new Aseyin of Iseyin land.

When Honourable Peller paid a surprise visit to the monarch, he was rewarded with an S-Class Mercedes Benz.

The current Aseyin replaced the late Oba Salaudeen Abdulganiyy Adekunle Ajinese I, who died in 2022 after reigning for 16 years, from 2006 to 2022.

Remember that Oba Oyebola, the 30th Aseyin, competed for the crown alongside eleven other princes before being picked.

Peller had earlier expressed hope that Oba Oyebola’s accession to the throne will bring about positive development to Iseyinland in his letter of congratulations to the monarch.

Iseyin is thought of as the entry point to the Oke Ogun region. The Oke Ogun region of Oyo State is endowed with a varied topography, abundant natural resources, and lush land that present a plethora of prospects for investors, especially in the agricultural sector. Ikere Gorge Dam and Ado Awaye Suspended Lake, one of just two suspended lakes in the world, are two of Iseyin’s many enormous potentials. Regretfully, these assets have not yet been fully utilized.

Many people, including the Ayedero of Yorubaland and the Oyo State Government, are optimistic that Oba Oyebola’s charisma would play a significant role in bringing about progress to Iseyin and Oke-Ogun as a whole, with his ascension as the Aseyin of Iseyinland.

The relationship between Oba Adeyeri III and Honorable Peller dates back to their forebears. The late Oba Adeyeri II, the Aseyin of Iseyin from 1978 to 1996, and the late Professor Moshood Abiola Peller maintained a very friendly connection. As demonstrated by the cases of Honorable Peller and Oba Adeyeri III, the two families’ friendly friendship endures even after many years.

Prior to ascending to the throne, Oba Oyebola resided and worked in the United States of America alongside his family, consistently demonstrating concern for the well-being of both his community and his people. A large number of impoverished university students were able to receive financial aid thanks to his philanthropic foundation.

Honorable Peller stated that he believes Oba Oyebola’s educational background, exposure, and experience will count favorably as he assumes the esteemed traditional role of Aseyin of Iseyin.
