Tunji Wusu –
According to Benjamin Kalu, deputy speaker of the house of representatives, the stay-at-home order cost the South East region a staggering N4 trillion over the course of the past two years.
On Friday, July 14, Kalu gave the keynote talk at the annual all markets conference in Lagos. He claimed that the stay-at-home order had generated millions of dollars in investments and enterprises in the five South Eastern states of Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Ebonyi, and Imo.
“The insecurity and sit-at-home issue in the south-east is the existential threat to Igbo entrepreneurship and businesses right now,” he claimed.
This problem’s mutation is basically incomprehensible. It is evolving into a cankerworm that is devouring a significant portion of our nation’s fortune. It will be difficult for anyone in governance from Ala-Igbo to tell you the reality if I, as your son, don’t.
I sincerely beg each and every one of you. We cannot afford to give up on our commercial endeavors.
