Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has taken his re-election campaign to Ajalli in Orumba North and Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Areas of Anambra State, describing the visit as a homecoming and reaffirming his commitment to the people of the area.
The campaign, part of preparations ahead of the November 8, 2025 gubernatorial election, witnessed a massive turnout of supporters under the banner of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Addressing the crowd, Soludo urged the people to exercise caution while voting, stressing the importance of avoiding invalid ballots.
“Be careful when you vote to avoid invalid votes,” the governor advised. “This campaign is a divine project and a mass movement.”
He expressed gratitude to the Orumba communities for their support in the 2021 election, noting that the current mobilization efforts by the grassroots were unprecedented in the state’s political history.
“This visit is a homecoming for me,” Soludo said. “Everyone is saying that we are the consensus candidate in Anambra, but I encourage you to keep your Permanent Voter’s Cards ready. Soludo will win with your vote.”
The governor highlighted several ongoing projects in Orumba, including road rehabilitation, school renovation, and hospital upgrades, promising to accelerate development across the state if re-elected.
“In Orumba, we have initiated multiple projects aimed at enhancing our roads, schools, and hospitals, and we are not stopping there. In the next four years, we will intensify development efforts and continue to build a society where everyone has the opportunity to excel,” he said.
Prominent figures who joined the governor at the rally included former Deputy Governor, Chief Emeka Sibudu, Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Foster Ihejiofor, Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, member representing Orumba North and South Federal Constituency, Princess Chinwe Nnabuife, Lady Ifeoma Ekwueme, Mrs. Amaka Iruegbu, and Chief Ben Nwankwo.
They all reaffirmed their support for the governor, stressing that APGA remains the dominant party in Orumba and the entire Anambra South zone.
In a show of solidarity, Orumba North donated N75 million, while Orumba South contributed N150 million to Soludo’s campaign fund.
Party leaders and community stakeholders vowed to deliver overwhelming victory for the governor in the November poll, describing him as a symbol of progress and good governance in Anambra State.
