Popular Nollywood star Stan Nze has taken a firm stand against actors who endanger their lives in the name of performance, insisting such risks amount to “stupidity.”

In a recent interview with The Nation, Nze dismissed the idea of taking on dangerous stunts to prove one’s talent, stressing that trained professionals are hired for such roles.

“Why would I risk my life jumping from a dangerous height in a movie? That’s the job of stunt actors. They are well paid and skilled for it,” the actor declared.

He emphasized that sacrificing one’s safety for recognition makes no sense, warning that the industry easily moves on after such tragedies.

“I’m not going to be foolish and jump a dangerous height just because I want to be the best actor in Africa. People will only do a minute of silence and move on—it is stupidity,” Nze added.

The award-winning actor noted that his focus remains on roles that demand his craft, while stunt performers handle the high-risk sequences.
