One of the co-founders of the well-known computer company Apple, Steve Wozniak, was reportedly brought to a Mexico City hospital on Wednesday because he may have had a stroke.
The 73-year-old scientist and digital visionary was scheduled to speak at an event at the World Business Forum in Santa Fe, a neighborhood in the capital of Mexico, according to a report from CNBC.
According to TMZ, Wozniak did give his speech at the function but afterward told his wife that he was having strange feelings.
At his wife’s prodding, he made the decision to see a doctor. While the exact nature of Wozniak’s illness is yet unknown, TMZ conjectured that he may have experienced vertigo, a disorder characterized by imbalance problems and dizziness.
In 1976, Wozniak co-founded Apple Computer with his more well-known business partner, the late Steve Jobs, the well-known investor and former Apple CEO. Jobs passed away in 2011.
Their groundbreaking work changed personal computing and ultimately made Apple the most valuable corporation in the world. The company is renowned for its cutting-edge designs and the usefulness of its range of consumer devices, which includes desktop computers, laptops, and the cult favorite iPhone.
