STUDENT LOAN PROGRAM WILL LAUNCH IN JANUARY 2024, SAYS TINUBU

According to President Bola Tinubu, preparations are being made to implement the Students Loans Scheme in January 2024.

The President revealed this on Monday while speaking at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja during the 29th annual Nigerian Economic Summit, which is organized by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG).

He asserted that there is an urgent need to launch a sustainable credit program that will support an efficient anti-corruption campaign.

The new Students Loan Program must start by January 2024, according to President Tinubu. We say “no more strikes” for the sake of our children’s and students’ futures.

“Consumer credit is required, and the plan must go into force as quickly as possible. I appreciate the work of my team and my colleagues in creating and developing this program. When you have to seek for cash to buy a car and there is no mortgage for homeownership, we cannot talk about anti-corruption.

Additionally, he discussed the strategies his administration would use to stabilize the economy with the help of all relevant parties, particularly the business sector.
