Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, led his technical crew to Polokwane, South Africa, on Monday as preparations intensified for Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash against the Crocodiles of Lesotho.

The entire backroom staff has also settled in at The Ranch Hotel, Polokwane, where the team will camp ahead of the matchday nine encounter. According to the team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, several invited players are already in Johannesburg, from where they will connect flights to Polokwane later today.

The Super Eagles are expected to hold their first training session on Tuesday, focusing on tactics and set-piece drills as they aim to secure a decisive away victory.

Nigeria will lock horns with Lesotho at the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Polokwane, on Friday, in what promises to be a high-stakes battle for qualification points.
