Nigerian football fans have voiced frustration despite the Super Eagles’ 1-0 victory over Rwanda in their 2026 World Cup qualifier on Saturday.
A second-half strike from substitute Tolu Arokodare sealed the win at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. Star striker Victor Osimhen saw his first-half effort ruled out for offside before limping off with an injury, raising fresh concerns ahead of Tuesday’s crucial showdown with South Africa.
The result left Nigeria in third place in their group, piling pressure on the team to secure maximum points in their next outing.
Disappointed supporters stormed X (formerly Twitter) to vent their displeasure, criticizing the team’s performance despite the slim victory.
