The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has restored bulk electricity supply to the Mando-Kaduna 132-kilovolt transmission line, ending several days of blackout in parts of Kaduna State, especially the southern region.

Confirming the development in a statement on Friday, TCN spokesperson Ndidi Mbah said full power transmission was restored around 5:23 p.m. on Thursday after the company’s engineers completed repairs on the collapsed Tower No. 7 in Rigasa Community.

Mbah noted that the company’s maintenance teams worked tirelessly to rebuild and reinforce the damaged structure, ensuring a stable reconnection to the grid. “The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that power supply has been fully restored through the 132 kV transmission line affected by the recent collapse of Tower No. 7 in Rigasa Community, Kaduna State,” she stated.

She further expressed appreciation to electricity consumers and the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company for their patience and cooperation throughout the period of disruption.

Earlier, TCN had explained that the collapse of towers along the Kaduna Town Line I and II caused outages across parts of the state, plunging communities in Southern Kaduna into darkness.

With the repair completed, normal power supply has now resumed across affected areas.
